My husband took out an unsecured loan @ a finance

My husband took out an unsecured loan @ a finance company in 2008. We then went through some family financial troubles later that year & became unable to make that pmt.The did file legal, judgement received & started garnishment, $50 mthly. He has 3 child support garnishments already so there wasn't much left for them to take. He lost his job & we offered to continue to pay them $50 every wk but they refused that pmt. Now they are contacting him @ his current place of emp & being very rude to him. He has given them his # & mine to contact him & asked they not call him @ wk but yet they still do. Today they threatened to seize OUR assets to clear up the loan. Can they legally seize our home & vehicles for this debt?
