Need sample letter for old debt collector

Hi,
I am trying to clear up old collection accounts getting them paid to get my credit score up to hopefully purchase a home soon. I have this one credit card account where they only provide a mailing address for contact. I have not rec'vd any letters from them attempting to collect debt for couple years now and since I want to pay it off what type of letter would you recommend I should send them?

I did browse this link, but since the creditor does not have a contact phone number only mailing address I can't say in the letter I spoke to a representative because I haven't.
