Pay Day Loan - Cash Jar in South Carolina
Date: Wed, 03/23/2011 - 15:32
I entered into a pay day loan with Cash Jar via the internet. I now find they are licensed in Belize and they tell me they are not governed by SC law. Is this true? I have filed a complaint with the SC Consumer Affairs Division but have not received a response. How much interest can they legally charge and what was the maximum amount they could have legitimately loaned. I am receiving harassing phone calls and need them to stop. I am also accruing interest at the rate of almost $7.00 per day.
They can't charge you ANY interest or fees because they did not
They can't charge you ANY interest or fees because they did not obtain the required licensing by your state. No, they are not legal in your state or anywhere in the U.S., they are nothing more than Internet criminals and they will sell and share your personal account information to other Internet criminals, so, it is imperative that you close your account.
