My huband borrowed money from this company over 1500.00 more than 15 times and at last lost our home i became unemployeed and we did change checking accounts as we tried to make payment arrangements but they were less than understanding. I recently found that they are not registered in the state of Florida and it had been 5 years now they are treatening my husbands pay. We are good people paid timely with interest of you can imagine but we are not feeling uneasy with these new threating calls an have retained a lawyer for bankruptcy as i also was a countrywide bao borrower. can i still revolk my authorization for claim agianst my husbands pay as these recently have threatened???? Concerned in Florida

Send them a wage assignment revocation letter, they can't take your husbands wages without a court order. They can however use a wage assignment if he authorized it in the loan contract, however, it is revocable at any time. If this was an Internet payday lender, they (Mycashnow) are illegal in the state of FL.

I have Lighthouse Recovery pestering me about my delinquent My Cash Now loan. I had intended to pay them as soon as I could, but they (MCN) kept dinging my bank account every week without my authorization. I stopped payments on their account, so they turned me over to Lighthouse Recovery. I spoke to them when they first called, and told them it might be a while before I could send them any money. They continued to harass me, so I stopped answering their calls. Now, they are dinging my bank account every week, so I'm going to put a stop payment on their account as well. As I understand from the post above by Shazzers, MCN is not registered in Florida, where I live. Does that mean the loan was given illegally? What are the ramifications of that?
