So I got a call from Ameriloan today after the call from Nationwide yesterday. I told ameriloan I am willing to pay the principal of 200.00 not a penny more or less. They have not beenable to debit my account because before their payment was due I found this site and closed my account. Thank you all now I asked for a address he gave me a website to go online and pay with my debit card so I can keep my acocunt open incase I want a new loan( like really i am out of the payday loan cycle and I am not doing that loan crap no more)! He is saying I owe 260.00 I told him I am paying the minimum and I need a place to send it. He told me he can't give me a physical address then he called my cell and hung up. Now I went into my voice service on my home phone and blocked those calls from the numbers they called from.

the nationwide lady told me Hold on I will let you see for yourself.

“This is a St. Vincent company. St. Vincent and the United States are both parties to the General Agreement on Trade in Services, a treaty which specifically permits companies in one country to make consumer loans to citizens of the other. Under the treaty, we are only obligated to follow the federal laws of the United States. We are not required to obtain state licenses and individual state laws do not apply since the federal laws adopting this treaty supersede any state’s laws on the subject.

Please call customer service at 1-866-808-0936 if you have any questions, concerns, or wish to make payment arrangements on your account. That department will have your current loan files to review.

Thank you,

I haven't heard from Loanshoponline yet! I sent my debt validation letter to Detex Agency and Associates and haven't gotten my green card back yet. I sent the letter regular mail, certified and emailed it. I also filed a complaint with the internet crime division regarding mypaydayloan and their henchmen Detex Agency.

You have done everything you're supposed. Of course, they will tell you they are authorized by some treaty etc. etc. That's the same response people get when they deal with the illegal payday loans from tribal entities. Just stick to your guns. No address, no payment. Do Not give them your debit card number. There's nothing to stop them from taking more.

Hang in there. There's light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not an oncoming train).

These companies have NO shame, do they? Asking for your debit card # if you want a new loan? Oh yeah, right! And the laws of St. Vincent being bound by Federal laws of the US? What garbage! These companies will tell you just about anything, they'll threaten you, use semi-legal-sounding jargon, etc. Stick to your guns; if they don't want to cooperate and give you a physical address to send the money you're willing to pay, then that's their problem.
