Scam

My sister received a phone call about my husband threatening him to call back about a legal pending matter. We have never given her number out. I suspected this was a scam so I looked up the number and found it had been used in the 1-866 scam numbers. I called the number got an Anthony Green who refused to give me any information on the company. There was no message stating the call was been monitored for quality assurance or being recorded for tranining purposes etc etc. He himself never informed me that my call was being recorded. He was irritated that I asked questions and tried to get off the phone quickly. I evet went so far to tell him that I looked up the number and it was listed under the scam numbers...he got very quiet. Just want to make others aware.

My question is for anyone how is it possible that these scammers are calling people that arent even used as references????? Where are they finding this information and how can they be allowed to dig into our personal lives???

It's amazing what can be found out about you, your friends and family members with a simple search. Skip tracing, internet searches, pooling information among the many sites, etc. It's scary out there.
