Continental Finance and debt mgmt

I am trying to add my credit card from Continental Finance to my debt management program and received a letlter from them today stating they will not work with a debt management program.... are they able to deny payments from them and what are your suggestions.
Continental Finance can reject the offer of the debt management
Continental Finance can reject the offer of the debt management company whom you've hired and may not accept payments from them. In such a situation, it will be better if you could deal with Continental Finance on your own and negotiate with them for debt settlement or consolidation. There are chances that they will be ready to negotiate with you directly rather than negotiating with a third party debt management company.
