MCN/CPD Confirmed as one in the same
Date: Tue, 03/29/2011 - 12:38
I faxed a letter addressed to MCN/CPD at Credit Protection Depot fax number. This was late yesterday afternoon.
Within the last hour, I attempted to log on to MCN website and the notation "sorry for inconvenience, please call xyz for information on your account." The number is to Credit Protection Depot, not MCN.
In my case, I had already paid the principal plus back. I've never defaulted and have used MCN MANY times over the past ? 4-5 years. Yes, I know, I know, but I decided enough is enough.
Anyway, I obviously do not want to call them. The next payment was to come out on the 31st.
Do they usually shut your online access down when you push back?
I guess it definitely confirms that CPD is definitely MCN though.
In dealing with my 8 pdls, the answer is yes. I could no longer
In dealing with my 8 pdls, the answer is yes. I could no longer access information on-line. Don't know why they do that......
Thanks, aubrey. I guess I was optimistic and hoping I'd log in
Thanks, aubrey. I guess I was optimistic and hoping I'd log in and see zero balance? :-)
Since my bank account is closed, it was removed from online profile with BoA. I didn't realize it would disappear that quckly.
I'm just really curious if I'll receive the standard email reminder notice about the payment due to come out. It should be sent sometime tonight or early morning. So far, they haven't called.
I guess I'll just have to wait now to see what their next move is. I did request a refund, but obviously don't exactly expect that. Just to be out from under then and free up that rollover $$ each month is reward enough.
Update on this .... I closed my bank account. I faxed letter
Update on this ....
I closed my bank account. I faxed letter revoking ACH authorization and stating my position - that loan is paid in full (overpaid actually by $800+ ).
My MCN online account was locked the next day with a notation to call for information on this account. Phone number is credit depot #.
I've had no calls whatsoever.
Surely they didn't go away this easily, right?
