DEBT Settlements

I have made an arragement with a collection agency to make so many payments and I have made all payments with my last one due this month. They agreed to give me a discounted settlement balance if payments were made. Now I'm being contacted by another collection agency that my case was sold to. They don't want to honor this agreement and are telling me that the payment I made last month was not applied to my account. What can I do? I have everything in writing will this stand up?

Do not give them your account information. Send them a cease and desist letter via certified mail, RRR and tell them the account has been paid via a settlement agreement and that you owe nothing. Then ignore them.
