They are using scare tactics on you. Close the account and don't pay them another dime. Contact your state Attorney General's office and file a complaint. They have violated the fair 1 with their tactics.

They can't arrest you for a payday loan. It's a civil matter only not criminal.

My issue is WHY would they have ever called my EX mother in law who I have had nothing to do with in 17 years, UGGG and I want to pay the REAL companies I owe but they have not sent me anything, uggg Thanks for your answers, I need the reassurance I scare VERY easily

Hello, well seems Im not alone. I took out 3 ONLINE Payday loans in Florida about 2-3 months ago, my account (bank) was breached, so the bank advised me to close it and reopen a new one, I wanted to continue paying these loans back so I called them the people answering the phone said they would get info to me on how to pay but nothing was ever sent, still waiting. I am not receiving HORRIBLE calles from numerous people with american and east indian accents calling themselves Agents and Investigators saying Im going to court in 1 day or going to be arrested if I dont pay. I even made the mistake TWICE of making a payment over the phone, one company tryed to take a HUGE unautorized amount out of my bank account causing me to have to close my card. I asked for Debt validation they said its to late for that!!! Now yesterday I get a call from my EX mother in law, some one I have had NO ties to for 17 years, a SHOCK!!! She said these people called her and wanted to know where I was cause there was a fraud charge again me, why her??? So I called them, theis lady called her self Agent and investagator Gibson, and if I did not agree to pay it was going to the county today, now the call was from Georgia Im in florida, I asked HER for debt validation, she said, Its to late not for that I did not pay committed check fraud (never wrote a check) and I just had to pay, so again like a moron I paid 103.00 with my card and she told me 311.00 would come out in april and 311.00 in may I DO NOT HAVE THAT MONEY I offered small payments but she said NO If I did not do what she said it was "goign to the county". So now what??? I want to pay my original lenders, they will not send validation I dont know who these threats are from they too will send validation, Im 9 weeks pregnant scared Im goin to jail, What do I do, Please someone help me

As per the FDCPA, the debt collectors are not supposed to call your friends and relatives regarding your debts. However, they can call your friends and relatives for once in order to know your contact details. They are liable to validate the debt if you request for the same. If the payday loans are legal in your state, then you can contact your original lenders and ask them to withdraw the account from collections. You can then, contact them and negotiate for a payment plan to pay off the dues.

First, close your bank account so no more money comes out. Second, STOP giving out your account numbers and STOP paying them immediately. You are not going to be arrested, go to jail, nor are they going to file charges against you. What are the names of the payday lenders? If a payday lender is not licensed to do business in your State, then you are only morally obligated to pay back the principal balance. No fees/Interest, etc. Please list the names of the payday lenders and let's determine whether or not they are licensed to do business in your State. But in the meantime, CLOSE your bank account immediately.

Here are the two websites I used BUT as for the names of the companies I dont really know after I applied I must have had 50 calls in an hour, I knew I needed about 800 to cover the bills (as I am the only income in my home right now), I got two loans one from each of these sites (but without going back to my accounts I dont know the Exact name. Now the thing is I got another call they were very PUSHY but said I could have a further 200 (what I needed) but I did not like them huge amount I had to repay, so I said to the person on the phone (she had indian accent) I was not happy with the loan and had to think about it, she said oh dont worry just (electronically sign) the form you see on your screen and someone will call you no money will go into your account until someone else calls, well no one did, but the next day 200 was in my account. I called the bank they said SSM Group LLC had put the money in, I am SOOO confused. I said to the bank right them I did not know this was happening they advised me to close account, NO One will send me debt validations at all, the latest calls Im getting are from a so called Agent Gibson at 404-348-4412, very snotty on the phone, called someone who has not been a part of my life for 17 years, WHERE did they even tie us together or get this persons number, her threats are aweful. Telling me the case against me is FRAUD and its going to the county for criminal charges if I dont pay 311 on the 28th of this month and 311 on the 28th of may, I DONT have that money!!! She wont send me debt validation either, says its to late for that now, I either pay or (its going to the county). I closed my account on the advise of my bank, as I had no Idea if this SSM Group was legit or not, they told me anyone I owed would send me letters about the debts I owe, well NO ONE HAS!!!

This is a scam. You need to close the account that you paid them with. You should NEVER give money to a voice on the phone. Were your PDLs even legal?

This woman calling herself Agent Gibson (she calls from 4043484412 but asks to return calls on 8008184009) called me telling me I committed fraud by writting a bad check (NEVER write checks), I asked for Debt Validation she said "its to late for that, you need to pay now or its going to the county". Well as I was so scared I DID pay 103.00 without knowing WHO this is or what its for. Now I do have a couple internet payday type loans, if this is one of them I NEED Proof of who I am paying not threats of jail or arrest. She even called my ex mother in law who I have no contact with for 17 years since I divored her son!!! Now WHY is she calling this person, she whould NOT answer me on that point!!! She is calling more than 4 times a day now and casuing me problems, as I am pregnant and am having health issues and do NOT need these calles. wiccan please file police reports as the idiot breaks the law everytime they call.then ignore them.if a number looks unfamiliar let it got v-mail knowing they can't do anything they threaten.btw just by seraching your name they can find any info on you unfortunately.
