I got some truancy tickets when I was 13 years old I'm now 23 the judge just sent me a letter telling me to pay them or I'm going to jail for a while wtf how does that work it was 10 years ago I haven't been in trouble since then and now there doing this I'm scared I might loose my kids over this

Check out the SOL period in your state. If your debt has crossed the SOL period, then no one can take legal actions against you regarding that debt. However, the creditor may still contact you for the payments and harass you.

I'm not sure what a truancy ticket is but, I know that generally, SOL doesn't apply to tickets. With traffic tickets, you will usually have a warrant issued or have your license suspended if they go unpaid. I suggest you contact the court and get this taken care of.
