I live in Illinois and am trapped in payday loan hell. I am trying to set up repayment plans as allowed in Illinois, but am being told that the copmpanies are held only to the laws of the states in which they are located. Is this true?

It is true that payday lending is legal in Illinois and allows the lenders to offer the borrowers with a repayment plan. But it is not true that the payday loan companies will have to follow the laws of the states in which they are located. As far as I know, they will have to follow the laws of the state in which they are operating.
