My loan is on default, I have received calls form Central Credit Services many times, they want me to pay a down payment of $1000 and make monthly payments of $500, I haven't reveiced a letter from them. What can I do?

what kind of loan is this?if it's a pdl then demand something in writing before even thinking about even admitting to owing the debt muchless paying it.btw if it is a pdl and internet please answer the following.

1)name of the original lender
2)amount borrowed
3)amount debited before default
4)state you reside in

do a search for central credit and you will see what a bottomfeeder this is.never pay,or give sensitive info to a voice on the phone.with access to info, and ID THEFT at an all time high demand details i writing then make them prove not only you owe it,but they are legally entitled to collect.to sum it up demand something in writing, and state you will not speak to them again until you get it.hang up,and keep hanging up without another word.

CCS doesnt appear to be a bottomfeeder but a 3rd party agency for mortgage loans, car deficency loans, credit cards. paul, there is nothing in the law that requires them to prove they are legally entitled to collect a debt....any contract signed between the creditor and collection agency is a private contract between those parties. The op would need to verify with the OC that the agency has been assigned the account.
