This is alot to stomach but I need advice. I had directv and when we moved my landlord came outside while they were about to install and he told them they can not drill in his home or anywhere on his property. Ok so they initially charged me a cancellation fee in which I fought and they retratcted this only after going into my bank account and taking $367.34. I was communicating back and forth and it should not have cone out. Upon them taking my money I received a email saying per our phone conversation they withdrew the money( big lie) I dodn't authorize any payment because I was waiting for the outcome. I have all emails saved and letters. I got a call that the fee was reversed and I was getting a credit of $335.00 so I had filed a dispute with my bank and once my bank saw they were refunding me $ 335.00 my bank gave me the $32.34 to make th 367.34. Now I get a bill from Directv saying they refunded me twice. I sent bank statements and had them talk to 2 different bank reps along with customer service that told them the dispute didn't happen because they refunded the money and I was only refunded the $335.00. I called in and a rep told me they recharged me because I filed a complaint with the BBB( Really) Is it not my right to file a complaint if I feel I am wronged?
So now I get a call from a collection agency and I am waiting for a dunning letter so I can send a copy of all my information. I know I on;y got the $335.00 I was promised nothing more or less. Bank statements will show and prove. I sent them to some woman that said her finance office said the sent it twice. I believe they are just trying to get more money. That's not how you do business.

What can I do? I know I only got what they promised me in writing which was $335.00 :-(

I want to thank you anon9 because your information and my complaint went into the Consumer Protection Agency and they have a case against Directv and the person handling my case called me today for me to fax him all my information and they are opening up new cases regarding Directv and doing what they are doing.

Thats good to hear. You should not have any more problems from them. All of us need to start standing up to these places and not taking these scams anymore. Maybe sooner or later these places will learn, the consumers are not stupid anymore. But, Im afraid it will be later.
