Which is better, not answering phone or answering them?

They keep calling me. I am not answering because my arguing skills are not very good or persuasive, especially compared to theirs. So, would my best bet be to keep ignoring their calls, answer and try to be blunt with them and ask them for an address and debt verification letter etc., answer and say they have the wrong number or something like that? or any other ideas are welcome to.
Thank you everyone for all the wonderful information on this site. You have all helped me more than I can every explain!

They claim they don't have an e-mail address?! WOW!! That's a 'new' one (they have all kinds of excuses). "Cash Protection Depot"...I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything for them. If the PDL is illegal in the state where you live, it's illegal for ANY CA to try and collect on them. I would take the advice of the poster above and look at the Debt CC link for illegal PDLs.

Sorry, it is credit protection depot, not cash protection depot, haha. I just remembered CPD which is what they call themselves. I have done what the links above mentioned. I have closed my checking account, and mailed out the letters. I tried that email address support@mycashnow.com but it didn't work for me, they still keep calling and didn't reply. Maybe I should try and send the letter again. I am just asking how to deal with the phone calls, cause from what I have read, some of these people will just continue to call no matter what. So I'm trying to figure out the best way to deal with them. I am in Washington State. And over the years I have paid them way way way more than just the principal on this last loan. I've been borrowing and reloaning from them for years. On this loan, I have not paid back the full principle I have only made a few payments. But from other loans in the past to them, I have way overpaid. Thank you guys for the advice so far, I really appreciate it.

Thanks OhioGal for finding that. I will send them an email. Should I send them the same letter I sent to the payday loan companies, stating that the loan is illegal, they owe me a refund, and my state laws and all that? Or since its a collection company, should I send them a different type of letter? If so, what should I include in this letter? Thank you very much for the help!
