These are the store front lenders, I pay them off every payday and take them back out the next day to stay afloat.

I have two internet loans

Big Sky Cash - owe $400 haven't had a fee yet, it will be $120.

Please help!!!!

OK, you must be in DSM. Let's talk thru this store by store and you online lenders.

The online lenders are both illegal in Iowa, so you only need to pay back the principal at your own pace.

Advance America is a member of the CFSA which means that you can get an extended payment plan. You should be able to work out payments with them as they do not use small claims 99% of the time.

Ace does not generally use small claims to my knowledge. Again, you need to try to work out payments.

Payday Express is not in my area, so I do not know much about them.

Check Into Cash does not use small claims. Your account will be transfered to collections on the 4th of the month after you are 30 days past due. At this point, you can make payment arrangements.

EZ Money does use small claims court. You need to work out some type of payment arrangements before they take action.

You can count on daily calls to each of your numbers and your references for each of these and they may come to your home and work to pay you a visit. I would suggest that you contact the corporate office and try to make arrangements. You can find a contact number for each company by going to the Iowa Division of Banking website and search the companies in thier database. Use one of the numbers listed to avoid the frontline people that will "toe the company line". I would probably close your current account and open another one to avoid unnecessary ACH debits.

In Iowa, payday lending is legal. But as far as I know, most of the payday lenders that you've listed here are not licensed to operate in your state. Nevertheless, you can contact the Iowa Division of Banking in order to find out whether or not your payday lenders are legal. If they are not licensed and illegal in your state, then you can check out the given page in order to find out how you can deal with them: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html

Anna

Please make sure that you are giving correct advice. The only illegal lenders are the online lenders. Your advice in this thread will only increase the problems for the OP.

FYI, I own stores in Iowa and I am a founding mamber of our association here, so I do know what I am talking about before you ask.

I never doubt your experience in the field of payday lending, PDLOwner! And I will definitely like to thank you for correcting me. :-)

The OP has mentioned two internet loans in his post. As far as I know, those two payday lenders are not licensed to operate in Iowa. Moreover, I did suggest that the OP should contact the Iowa Division of Banking in order to find out whether or not the payday lenders are legal. I agree that I should have mentioned the term "two internet loans" rather than saying "most of the payday lenders". Once again, thanks for correcting me.
