Payday loans are illegal in New York. Interest rate for small loans is capped at 25%. You need to close your checking account then send letters to your lenders as per "sticky" dealing with illegal lenders under the payday loan section.

Are you sure it's a payday loan? What company deposited money into your account? Was this done over the internet. How much did they deposit and how much have you paid back? I just want to make sure this is not an installment loan before giving any advice.

Are they still taking money out of your checking account? How did you close it yet there was a deposit?

today i closed my account so they cant take money out of my account, i told the bank that this is not my money 300.00, i wanted it sent back, but she said i would have to mail it to them.this 300.00 came into my checking account direct from other company.i called them and they said there computors are down.p.s.i had the money put in my new account, and they closed the old account,

I would call them today and tell them they illegally deposited money into your account and that the account was closed due to fraud. Tell them you want to send them a money order to repay it, or get a prepaid debit card. Make sure you keep notes as to whom you talked to, etc. This happened to me once, but my account was still open so they just reversed the transaction.
