If a debt collection agency is awarded a judgement against you can you endorse your checks to someone else and let them return the money to you or is it best to just use a check cashing place? What is the best way to protect your funds from bank levy? Are you even allowed a standard of living in Texas? Let's say your job only does direct deposit then how will you pay your rent if you bank is levied? Also, how long can your account be levied. So, I make 1800 a month and owe 10,000- they can take every dime each month until it reaches 10,000? would a bank allow me to endorse my check over to my spouse every month or do they limit the times?

Angelina has the right links for you. It can certainly save your face if your wages can't be garnished in Texas. As with any other state -

Well, I guess you can at least attend the judgment hearing and file a hardship case. If you can't afford to pay for it, then you may try and produce documents regarding your daily necessities e.g. car payments, utilities, food, housing costs. A garnishment order can only be stopped once your hardship is proven.
