Wells Fargo charged off my equity line and sent to their in house collections last Nov. They then in turn started calling again in March about a 2MP program to set up a 30 year repayment program similar to my first mortgage modification. Now it has been turned over to a second collection agency who said they are able to settle the debt on Well's behalf. Has anyone ever heard of this process? Two Lawyer's found it to be questionable. Any help would be great!!

Yes, They were not able to remove the charge off and repair my credit if I agreed to voluntarily re-instate my debt to go with the 2MP program. So I talked to a few lawyer's for info and now am looking into all other options.
