Payday lending is legal in Oklahoma. You should contact the Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit in order to find out whether or not the payday lenders that you've mentioned here are licensed to operate in your state. If they are not licensed to operate in your state, then check out the given page in order to know how you can deal with them: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html

Anna has certainly shown you through a good resource. I'd like to share another resource that guides residents of Oklahoma regarding payday loans - http://www.ok.gov/okdocc/documents/PaydayLendingBorrowersRights.pdf

The Department of consumer Credit is the regulating authority. You may register your complaint at the following address:
4545 North Lincoln Boulevard, Suite 104 Oklahoma City OK, zip code – 73105
Call: 405-521-3653

also keep filing complaints with your state AG.you see being as both are evil d/b/a's OF MTE alot of states would like to shut them down, but being as they have "bogus tribal immunity"they will fight for you,but it will take time.btw the goal of this is to pi$$ you off and annoy you.why?so you just pay to get rid of them.until our forum, and others popped up around six years ago people did just that.so just file, and re-file AG complaints, and if a number looks strange let it go to v-mail.if caught at work on the phone hang up without a word.to close just know that everyone involved with MTE,and any other illegal lender has pre-resereved status in the "seventh circle".just a thought to cheer you up danettere.

I am still getting calls weekly on my cell from a collector for a payday loan from 2 years ago. I let ALL phone numbers that I don't recognize go to voice mail. I eventually listen to the VMs and then just delete. That's the best you can do right now. Screen your calls and answer only numbers you know. If you get an unknown number, let it go to VM. If it's for something else that's important, you can always return the call. This tactic has made my life more serene.
