Payday lending is legal in South Carolina. You can contact the S
Payday lending is legal in South Carolina. You can contact the South Carolina State Board of Financial Institutions in order to know whether or not your payday lender is legal in your state. As far as I know, there has been no changes in the laws. Non-payment of payday loans will be considered as a civil offence and not a criminal offence. So, I don't think the lender will be able to arrest a person for the non-payment of the debts.

I guess you need to be served properly before being sued.
