Hi. I have recently closed out my checking account and opened a new one. Now I am in the process of preparing to email the payday lenders. I know I need to contact my HR rep, but how much do I tell them? I know that in theory, this should be confidential, but I don't believe they will follow that. I have to call HR to find out who I should email or fax, but I'm not sure what to say. Should I just tell all (including the number of payday lenders?) and ask that this be confidential and that I would prefer that no one outside of HR have access to this info? Also, I have read where copies of the emails or letters sent to the lenders are sent to HR. But if I do that, then all of that info will be in my files. I guess I'm wondering what is the minimum I can tell them, without letting them know the number of lenders. Can I just say that since these illegal lenders will sell your info, that fake lenders will pretend I have a loan and create problems?

Thanks.
.

I can say for myself I had to break down and tel my HR everything because I have a bottom feeding collection agency call me at work and threaten to send over a wage assignment and I have already revoked the ACH priviledges! I would say use your own discretion but be as honest as possiblem everyone knows its hard out there and sometimes an unexpected bill may arise if the place is not legal and they are trying to scam why be ashamed most of these illegal lenders prey on people that don't know but are really in need.

I just sent my hr an email, stating that no one is allowed to have a voulntary wage assignment against me, and if anyone tries, I have revoked their authority to do so. And if they have any questions about it, to just email me. So far so good. I also told my boss that there is an online lender scam that is trying to get money from me, just so he is aware.
