I just got a call from someone representing Paradise Payday Loan. I closed my account after already having paid them the $300 I borrowed and then some! They said there's a fraud case now against me and if I don't pay $500 by tomorrow, they'll have the sheriff's come to my job! I live in NJ... Please help! I'm desperate! Can they do this? Is it legal? Is it legit? HELP!!!! :confused:

they are the frauds

there is nothing legal,or legit about either the lender,or this scam.in fact they broke the law in threatening arrest.first thing you do is file a police report for the call.then use whatever info you have.phone number,or name of this place and file AG,AND FTC complaints.then ignore them as the lender was illegal and you paid the principle.btw no pdl is legal in NJ.so they can't do what they threatened.file the report,and complaints.then ignore them,or hang up without a word.they deserve nothing more.

Since this company is not legal, so you are only supposed to pay the principal amount. You don???t have pay the interests or the associated fees. They are trying to scare you. Don???t be scared. They don???t have guts to file lawsuits against you.
