I just received a call from Delanore, Kemper & Associates out of Atlanta, GA. They are collecting on a PDL I had in 2008. Is this firm legit? I am willing to pay but don't want to be bamboozled like with a different agency. They are wanting to take me to court.

If they can validate the debt, set up a payment arrangement (try to settle for less than the amount you owe) with them, get it in writing and stick to it. Once it's paid, ask for a paid in full letter.
