I got a letter saying i owe 8400 from first national collection bureau, inc. I did have a account with the orginal creditor as it states and it reads; unless you respond this debt is true if i do respond it says the office will obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of a judgment and mail you a copy of such judgment or verification. It has been at least ten years since I had that account . If someone buys your debt does the SOL start over again?

the only time the SOL clock restarts is when you pay on the debt.send them a DV(debt validation)letter.that is important as validation is not verification.they are different.send the letter certified mail return receipt.
