my daughter received a check for 500.00 from her grandpa that is drawn on a bank with locations only in florida.we are in minnesota. neither one of us are able to open a checking account and my husband does not have enough in his account to cover it in order to cash it for her. what can she do?

If you can't get it cashed, send it back and ask her grandpa to send a money order or a certified check instead.
