Sam's account with GE Money was sent to NCO financial. have not spoken to either of them yet.GE now sent letter requesting bankruptcy info but i have not filed bankruptcy.Any suggestions on what to do.Should I try to settle with GE or NCO?

It is better to make a written request for a validation letter to NCO. You can also negotiate with GE directly. Inform them that you have not filed bankruptcy. IF GE is co-operative, then you can directly settle the account with them. If they are not interested, then you can settle the debt with NCO.
