Over 3 Months Have Pasted...
Date: Tue, 06/14/2011 - 17:08
I got a letter from a CA on March 3rd, 2011 and sent out a VD letter March 15th, 2011. I sent it Certified Mail through USPS and received a "signature" - more like a circle back. My guess is that they received my letter. I haven't received anything from them and phone calls stopped immediately on March 18th, 2011. I am guessing they couldn't valid my debt according to Federal Laws OR forgot about my letter? Should I check my credit report and see if they are attacking my score OR should I send them another VD letter - which I prefer not to because they should be doing their job if they want a penny from me. I am kind of stumped at the moment. Any ideas or advice?
Thank you.

"What type of debt is it? A DV can sometimes take awhile...in some cases they have to go thru microfiche if your account is old. Others are digital. Some debts take longer than others"
It was a credit card debt I had with CitiBank and which my payments were 4 months pass due. They turned it over to a CA at the beginning of March of 2011. The VD letter was sent out a few days after I received the letter and multiple phone calls. I am just stumped that they received my VD letter, yet never contacted me again by letter or phone since March 18th, 2011.
Does it really take CA's almost 3 months to reply back? I know there is a SOL for debt collected but don't they have a required duration to contact me back at least?
