I have been getting calls at my work all afternoon from a collection company. 1st I ask who are they trying to collect for, which she said she couldnt give me that information. 2nd if I didn't take the offer right then that they would proceed to file a case against me and have my wages garnished for 25%, and have my dirvers licences suppend. I ask if she could give the company she worked for they mailing address and a phone number that was not 877, she refused. She kept calling this is happening at my job. She said that she would contact my 'references' and have them pay. I finally told her do what you have to do. I contact my company human resourse, they reasured that the company can not garnish my pay. That help releave my stress. and as for my DL I know for sure that they can not have it suspended.
The next time when they call you, ask them to validate your debt
The next time when they call you, ask them to validate your debt. You can send them a DV letter in writing as well requesting them for the validation of debt. Unless they validate the debt, don't pay them a dime.
