Payday loans are legal in Rhode Island. You need to contact the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation and check out if Magnum Cash is licensed to operate in your state. If they are not licensed to operate in your state, then you should check out the given page in order to know how you can deal with them: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html .

I don't think Magnum Cash is legal in Rhode Island. But you should verify that from department of Consumer Affairs. If they are legal, you're liable to make payments on the loan. You can't avoid that. If that is the case, then I would suggest you to enroll in a payday loan debt consolidation program. This may help you repay the debt. Try to avoid taking out pdls in future.

More than likely, Magnum is not legal there. Check out what your interest rate cap is in RI and if they are charging you more than that, send them a letter stating so. If you have paid over and above the principle amount of the loan, they may just send you a letter stating that your loan is paid in full as they did mine.
Magnum Cash loan
I still actually owed on the current loan with them but when I sent out the letter (found on this forum) that they were an illegal lender in my state (Virginia) and demanded a refund and some of it could be applied to the principal, they wrote back this really long winded letter and at the end they said they didn't want to spend the effort with an unhappy customer and said my loan was Paid in Full! And they sent me who to contact for the refund. Looks like they are actually out of country and not Delaware like I thought. I pray that your loan is illegal, too and you can have it dropped (especially if you've given them more than they deserve!).
If they are legal (and them being truly offshore I doubt it), you could call and ask them to put you on a payback plan ( I had called earlier in the year and they put my loan on a 4 month payback without added interests and fees.) Hope this helps!
