If the debt is too old and has crossed the Sol period in your state, then you're not legally liable for it any more. You can't be sued for the debt any more. So, you can refuse to acknowledge the debt. Once you acknowledge the debt and enter into a payment plan with the creditor/collection agency, then the Sol period on the debt will start all over again.

well for one as nelly stated never just pay a voice over the phone.demand something in writing before speaking to them further.next if the call involved threats of any kind file a police report as this is a pdl collection bottomfeeder that uses threats,and scare tactics to get money.lastly hate to correct nelly,but in some states even an agreement isn't enough to re-start the SOL.actual documented payment must be made.
