If you default on a payday loan, then the company can file a lawsuit against you. If they win the case and secure judgment against you, then they can garnish your wages. Defaulting on a payday loan is not a criminal offence. They can only file civil case against you. Check the wage garnishment laws in your state.

a pdl can sue and garnish if they are legal in your state.if they are internet,and most likely illegal they can't do squat.any pdl that throws the arrest threat,or anyplace attempting collections that throw the arrest threat needs to be reported,not paid.first to your local police.then your AG.
