I have a judgement against me by capitol one credit card and i was wondering what they can take from me if anything?

I currently own my car free and clear. i rent my apartment and don't own anything else. no assets. i don't have good credit and i needed a loan, i was wanting to get a small $1,000 loan from the bank and using my car as collateral. But of course the car is the only thing i own and need and i could not risk loosing my car.

Is there any way the judgment could take my car if i ask for a small loan against it?

If you used the car as collateral, you do not own it free and clear so no one but the lein holder can take it.

However, I am assuming you have wages and a bank account...they can now garnish your wages and seize your bank account. In a round about way , you still would end up loosing your car...but to the bank.
