Consumer who is fed up with banks who won't lend and colllectors who are not following the law

I have comments, and questions. First of all, great forum. I am glad I found you.
I have many credit cards over 5 years old with credit limits averaging 5k to 10k, and pride myself on my flawless payment history. I have never paid late, and am vigilant about paying down cards, and paying early.
I get this call from my Dad who lives 1,500 miles away that this guy from Paul Law has been calling my parents leaving his name, my file number, etc. and it is embarrassing! I have not lived with my parents for decades, and am very easy for a creditor to find as my 3 credit bureaus all show the same address, work info, etc. I am outraged that this company is harassing my parents. Does anyone know what I can do about it?
This debt has to be over 15 years old as I pay all of my bills on time each month. I have never received any collection letters and they call my parents?!!! This must be a very ancient debt ordered to my ex-husband during 1997 divorce.
Thanks so-

Sorry, but legally you still owe the debt. They just can no longer pursue you thru a court of law. Doesnt sound like any violations.

If it is a CA, are they not in violation of the law by collecting a debt, that I am assuming, is past the Statute of Limitations? And, by leaving personal info with a 3rd party?

They can still collect a time barred debt, they just can't pursue it in court.
However, the 3rd party contact is bothering me. If, as the OP says, her credit report information is current and accurate, there's no reason for them to continue to contact her parents.
What you need to do is contact these people and give them your contact info. Tell them to send you something in writing and then, if it's not yours or not legit, send them a C&D letter.
