Multiple storefront loans in Texas - can't pay, need advice!

Advance America $500
EZ Money $500
CashBiz $500
I took out the loans early this month and my first payment is due today. All of them have paper checks as collateral.
I took a major paycut, and I cannot pay them. I would consider just ignoring it for a day and then trying to set up arrangements... but I'm concerned they'll send my paper checks through tonite - and my husband's paycheck will post this evening. Our mortgage is due tomorrow, and I cannot risk having his check eaten up if they send my checks through and my bank clears them.
Can I call them and ask for 1 more day to make the payment?
Will they set up arrangements this early in the game?

Call them all right away! Ask for an extended payment plan. If they won't work with you, call their corporate offices. They should work with you to set up and EPP.
Advance America, for sure is a member of the CFSA and should give you the standard "current balance divided into 4 equal payments."
EZ Money I'm not sure about. There is some good contact info on their site, however in the "disclosures" and "contact us" sections.
Cashbiz, same as EZ.

Ok, I am going to call them all right away. I really hope they will allow me to set something up so I can take care of these... I'm just SO afraid that if I don't pay something on them today, they'll send my checks through and we won't be able to pay our mortgage.

Ok, I talked to the store manager at Advance America. She said they "do not offer any type of payment plan" and basically told me I had to come in and make my payment.
I understood they are CFSA and have to offer the EPP - is there any way to contact corporate office? The 800 # on their website just goes directly to the store.

Depending on what state you live in, they do not have to offer the EPP, and in fact most states do not. But, that being said, I ran into the same situation with store fronts including AA and if you go into the store and explain your situation to them, they more than likely will let you make payments. They will however send you check through the bank, sometimes twice, and add a $15 fee to the returned check. Make sure you go into the stores you have the loans with. It works out much better for you than calling.

Ok, talked to corporate office of Advance America, no help. They don't offer EPP in Texas so I was told my only option was to pay the interest today, or let my check be presented and bounce. I don't really want to do that because as I said above, I'm afraid it would suck up my husband's check which will post early tomorrow. I may call my bank and see what I can work out.

Another option, purposely default. Go to your bank and put a stop payment on the check(s), if they refuse to work with you. This will force the account to collections and then you can set up your payoff arrangements with them.
I had to do something similar with Check 'n Go online. They wouldn't give me an EPP so I revoked ACH authorization, forced it to collections and made 4 monthly payments to pay off the loan.
You could also call the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner and ask for their help.

Well, I defaulted. I didn't go into the stores last night, and I just let it go. They didn't try to run my account last night, so my husband's check posted with no issues and I hit the bank early this morning and withdrew it, so I can pay our mortgage without stressing about these PDLs taking his check. Yay!!!
I've already called all 3 lenders today so we'll see what they offer with setting up plans.
Update
Well, Cash Zone actually went into the branch of my bank with my checks, and even though I was at a zero balance, the branch cashed them *and* charged me OD fees for each one - so I was put over $800 in the negative. VERY irritating, but, at least that one is paid off.
Advance America tells me I have until 7 this evening to pay them or she has to file it - I assume that means it will go to corporate collections? I couldn't pay anything on it, so I guess we'll see. The store manager was really nice and did try to work with me, but said she can't hold it past this evening. They never tried to hit my bank account or cash my checks.
EZ Money - I made a payment. THey never tried to hit my account or anything, kind of bizarre. They call me about once a day. I'll make another payment with them tomorrow.
