OMG, I had a loan with this company and defaulted. They contacted my employer because I signed the wage assignment and he garnished by pay check without checking this company out. Normally, wage garnishments go through the court system first regardless of what I signed. I feel like a total jack*** and wished that I had found this site sooner. :(

You signed a wage assignment, not garnishment. You gave them voluntary permission to take your wages. A court order is not required.

Zip 19 is an illegal lender as they are based outside the US in Malta.

I understand that I signed a voluntary wage assignment, but does that mean that my boss had to comply with the assignment? They were paid more than they were owed.
