Back on February 7th of this year, I made the unfortunate mistake of taking a pay day loan out with Great Sky Cash. The original loan amount borrowed was $300.00. Since then, I have paid a total of $651.00 dollars.

I wasn't really paying attention to my checking account but, I kept seeing these charges for $90.00 twice a month, and when I found out what they were for that's when the red flags went up. I have gotten other pay day loans from different places and after a month or two of paying, I was done with them, not these guys I guess.

So, I got to questioning them, and with the help of this website, I asked to see their license number to deal in the state of Pennsylvania. This was responded with a copy of my contract stating that I received the funds and that they were legal to do business in my state. So, I copied the contract and pasted it into a word window where I enlarged it to make it easier to read. It states :

"Agreement to Us. By electronically signing this document and submitting it to Us, You affirm that you have reviewed the terms of the

Agreement including (i) the amount of any interest rate or fee; (ii) the date on which the full amount of the loan is due; and (iv) that

you are availing yourself exclusively of the laws of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe for executing and performing this Agreement as if

You were within the exterior boundaries of the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, a sovereign Native American Tribal Nation, and

this Agreement is to be fully performed by You and Us within the exterior boundaries of the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, a

sovereign Native American Tribal Nation."

So I write them one back saying that I feel the $651.00 dollars is more than enough payment and how can they sit there and tell me that not one penny has gone towards my interest, this is the basics of what I get back.

"Please read through your contract. It specifically states that you have signed a contract with a sovereign nation, this is why you were able to receive the loan, state laws do not apply to our agreement. If anything, I'm not sure why you are questioning the legality of this loan now, you were eager and happy to receive the funds from Great Sky Cash when you applied. Again, we are willing to resolve this matter with you with a positive outcome, it is up to you how this turns out."

So, once again I ask them how did all of this money not go towards anything.

"
If you are not paying your loan in full on your due date, you have to pay the interest. By paying the interest you are given another two weeks or until your next pay date to pay in full. This process continues until you tell us to pay off your loan on your due date. This is all explained when you receive the loan. Again, please call the office to resolve this matter."

Now, when I first got this loan and I tried to sign into my online account on their website, it wouldn't let me. I even called them and asked them why I couldn't get on and they didn't have any answers for me.

Another thing, I got the loan with Great Sky Cash, this person that is emailing me back has a @fastwirecash.com address but signs his letters with Alliance Funding.

I have sent them a copy of that sticky, but that did nothing, I'm at a loss right now, and I don't know what to do or how to deal with it. I am in the process of filing complaints with my state AG, the BBB and FTC. Any other suggestions will be gladly accepted. I will not let these thieves win.

I also have a loan with Great Sky and I'm in PA also.

I owe $295 in principle which is what I've offered them.

You have overpaid! I wouldn't give them another dime and for sure file complaints with the AG

You will have to be very aggressive to get a PIF and refund from any lender. File AG complaints, and everything else you can do to make them fell the need to refund you some of your overpaid funds.

Just got an email this a.m. from Alliance (Great Sky collections arm) and they will accept my principle only and give me a PIF in return.

With this in mind, you should be able to get a PIF if you have overpaid.

Took me about 3 weeks to get to this point with them.

They only responded to me after I cut off thier cash cow. Before that there was no movement from them. If you can't close your account and they have access, they will be very unresponsive.

I sent them a letter and they sent me back their BS reply about not having to follow rules because they are native americans blah blah. I could not close my bank account and they just took the whole amount out that they thought they should recieve. Now I am asking for a paid in full letter and they're really being slow about giving it to me. I am just glad that I am payed off to them. I really do regret ever getting a payday loan and I think they are the devil. I am going to work really really hard to budget and be more responsible with my money now. I feel so stupid.

All you have to do is close your account they can not do anything to you since it is Illegal in your state. You will get some phone calls but just ignore you will never hear from them again.
