Overwhelmed and Desperate in MI
Date: Thu, 07/07/2011 - 16:35
All of this information on this site is a blur and I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. I know it is extemely beneficial but I'm getting a little confused. I did take some of the advice already that I discovered through my research. I closed my account, and open another one at a different bank. Will the PDL companies find out about this account? I switched my direct deposit to the new bank.
Do I need to try to pay them back or should I just send a letter? Should I not answer the phone? I do not want them calling my work, but I am aware that this could possibly happen. I know my job would not understand.
Integrity Advance- 400/250
500 Fast Cash- 500/350
EZPayday-300- new loan-300
My Cash Now- new loan- 300
Amercan Web Loan- new loan-500
Sign my loan.net - new loan- 300
Cardinal-new loan- 300
I applied for sign my loan and cardinal called. They told me they were sign my loan when they called me and the next day I had loans from both these people.
Green Plain will be paid off in Sept. I pay 91.02 every pay period.
I'm filing bankruptcy next week can I include these in the bankruptcy?
I know I created a mess, and I am so ashamed, but when it came to lights and food I kept renewing, and getting new loans to help pay the old ones. I realize now that if I wasn't paying these expenses I would be able to afford the other things, and this is a cycle that is impossible to break. :(
Please anyway help or advice would be helpful about what I can do specifically in Michigan would be helpful.
I also have two store fronts:
check and go - 600 and cash connection which is closed and I am paying off.
Again thank you in advance. I see people have gotten so much help on this site, I just need details for my own situation.
First of All - Calm Down
Calm down; you will get through this. Believe me. I, at one time had 10+ loans outstanding and like you, I thought I would never see the light at the end of the tunnel. You took the first major step which was closing your bank account and opening a new one. And as far as I know, they cannot get your new bank account information unless you give it to them (so DON'T do that). Once some of the more experienced members respond to your questions, you'll hear from them as well; that if you wind up owing any of the lenders, you need to pay them with a pre-paid debit card, or money order. Do not give them any of your new banking information. And, I do believe you can include these in your bankruptcy. If you are going to file, then I would assume your bankruptcy attorney would know for sure.
Now that you will start receiving your entire paycheck once again, you can start plugging away at these lenders one by one and paying your immediate expenses on time. You will get your life back...I promise.
Yes, you are able to include these payday loans in your Bankrupt
Yes, you are able to include these payday loans in your Bankruptcy. I would start gathering all the physical addresses and phone numbers for your BK lawyer. The more information you have ready, the faster you will get the BK filed and confirmed.
Im in MI also
Ive dealt with a few of your lenders, Integrity Advance, at least thats one I can remember from your list... ...most of them are illegal, but I cant say for sure which ones. You closed your account at least, what I did was talk to my branch manager and give them the letters of ACH revocation that I gave to my lenders, just as a backup in case they tried to hit my account and cause nsf fees. (which is great because they did, and I didnt get any charges... yet)
I opened a new account at a different bank, changed my direct deposit, and what do ya know, next week, I had my whole paycheck!! - Then I could deal with the lenders on my terms... creditors will almost always work with you (unless there illegal) - your storefront loans have to set up a payment plan, (its MI law) - you just have to touch base with them. - Its so easy to fall into this pdl trap, online loans are just a click away, its a great business model, but a ripoff... dont feel bad, weve all been there.
Youve made the first step, closing your account, it does get easier. you will see when you get your first paycheck and its not all gone!! -
BTW - wth? I pay $600 + in child support a month, for my son alone... ...how is the friend of the court that unbalanced.!?!?!?!?!?
anyway, we are on your side.
They called
I haven't sent the letter that I found on this website yet, and two already called stating that there was a serious matter that needed to be discussed before 2. They said that I'm a valued customer (of course look how much money they got from me. Should I call them back, or just send the letter? I'm going to my bankruptcy lawyer on Monday.
Dont bother calling
I wouldnt call em, they will just harass and intimidate you.
Send the letters out, if they call again, send the letters again, and again... (its what I did) I answered all there emails that were trying to collect $ with the letter again.
How did the BK meeting go?
