Hi,

So I now know that Advance me Today is not licensed to lend in the US. They can write about all the fake treaties they want to, I'm on to their game. So far I have stopped payment on any ACH payment to them by name, and also by several dollar amounts. My question is this:

How seriously do you think that they would take the threat of a mass internet petition to the Federal Government to recoup interest paid, either is excess or in full? It's something that I am toying with to see if it works. I was hoping that others who were stiffed as I was might want to team up with me to see what happens.

If the payday lender is not licensed to operate in your state, then you will be liable for paying them only the principal balance. You can even ask for refunds if you've paid them an extra amount. You won't have to file any petition. However, if you file a petition, it will depend upon the lender whether or not he will give it importance.
