Hi,

You say that you have 3 online payday loans and you want to lower the payments. Well, if you close your checking account, it is most likely that the ACH (automatic payment) that they send your bank will be probably returned with "Account Closed" written on it.

As you know that payday loans are sometimes a really bad idea as they carry outrageously high interest rates, it is always better to repay the loans at any cost. Manage your personal finances and contact a payday loan consolidation company in order to lower the payments. Repay the loans and stay out of high interest debt. You can put a hard debit check on your account instead of closing it. I don't think closing a checking account is always a good idea. From next time, try to avoid taking out payday loans to meet your emergency expenses. Take a short term loan from your family or friends instead.

Now getting back your query, you can go for payday loan debt settlement program to get out of payday loan hell. This program can help you settle your debts for a lumpsum payment. Alternatively check whether or not the payday loan lenders are legal in your state. If they are not legal, then pay only the principal amount to them.

Check 'n Go and PDO are licensed in Ohio.

PDO will offer you an extended payment plan. You have to ask for it. They will divide your current balance due into 4 (sometimes 5) payments that would be due over your next 4 (or 5) paydays.

Check 'n Go is tricky in Ohio because they don't offer an EPP. I tried to settle with them for less than what was due on my next pay date. They refused so, I revoked ACH authorization and then worked with their collections department to pay off the loan. They allowed me to make monthly payments and I settled for about 65% of the "balance due."

I do not find a license for Sure Advance in Ohio. If you have already repaid the principal amount of your loan, you owe them nothing further. You can follow the steps here to deal with them.

I do recommend closing your account first. When you set up your EPP and payoff with PDO and CnG, use another form of payment. A pre-paid debit card is a good option.
