So I got a call from them and they said I set up the paymets as a "check" and it's been returned to them (because I closed my account.) I don't think I set them up as a check, it was the ACH debit...is that the same thing? Anyways, she's saying because it came back as a bounced check it's against the law in my state and they will be issuing a summons.
Now I think this is not legitement because they didn't say this was an attempt to collect a debt which I think they have to do and I didn't set this up as a check. I think it's just their attempt to collect their money. I'm in VA and all online PDL's are illegal in this state.
Any thoughts?

since pdly is a complete scuzzbucket illegal,and so is first national file a police report as they threatened you illegaly.an ACH is not a check,and the bad check threat is illegal.just do that and also file AG,AND FTC complaints against both places.then ignore future calls,or hang up on them if caught on the phone.neither can do spit,and pdly is only entitled to the principle,and anything debited gets deducted form that.file the report and complaints then ignore both parties as they are illegal and pathetic.
