I received an email (and several calls today) from Pay Day Loan Yes regarding my loan. I borrowed $400 and have paid back $120.

They have offered the following. Please note they want me to send sensitive credit/debit card details via email:

1 ST RETURN - R01 INSUFFICIENT FUNDS - Returned for 120 07/12/2011

As of today, your total account balance is due $670; loan payoff is for $540
payment arrangements are for two (2) three (3) payments for $180 due on
07-22-11, 08-05-11 and 08-19-11.

Payment method is Visa or MasterCard debit/credit only there is a $7
processing fee per transaction and your payment instructions listed below.

Once you have emailed the required payment confirmation information I will
then be able to freeze your account balance and remove you from further
collection actions.

Very Important:

Please note that we do not accept verbal payment authorization
Should you have any questions you have to call me directly Karen Tims,

Even if I wanted to go forward, it seems ridiculous.

since paydayloan yes is totally illegal you only owe 280.00 and they can pi$$ on a spark plug if they demand payment via credit/debit card.if you haven't file AG complaints do so,and respond that the email offer is an insult and you that you are filing complaints.

Paulmergel or others might want to correct me on this but if they're completelly illegal, I can't see where they could legitimately attempt a collection? It's up to you whether or not you want to go with their settlement. However, please do NOT give them your personal debit or credit card information or they will more than likely try to bleed your account dry. Get a pre-paid credit card and use that information.

unless it's for the 280.00 parachutec1 is absolutely right.this is a complete piece of garbage pdl that doesn't care about the law,and even if you pay them they will still claim you owe.have seen that on these forums too.file complaints with your AG,and also don't talk to them when they call you at work as you are under no obligatio to talk to them.hang up without a word.repeat the process.have others do the same, but file that complaint.that is important.
