Certified Letter

Hi- I need some help! What happens if you receive a certified letter (twice) from a collection company (D.A.N. Joint Venture) and you do not pick up the letter? I now know who the party is as they served us with papers regarding a long-standing debt (long story) and it is just under the statute of limitations.

They could serve you by publication....posting it in the newspap
They could serve you by publication....posting it in the newspaper if allowed by your state. I would suggest that you pick it up.

since you said you were already served.those are most likely interrogatories.you must pick them up,or they could get a summary judgement.
