payday loan trap

I'm so happy to have found this site. I finally feel like I am not alone.
I do have one problem though. I am in 7 payday loan traps, and understand the advice of closing my bank account, however, I don't want them calling my references for any reason. Is there anything else I can do without them harassing me or my friends? Do I tell them I closed the account?
I really need help outta this. I am over $3,000 in payday loans and I don't even make that much in a month. I'm worried my consolidated payment will be the same as I'm paying now in interest to extend these, which is making my account go negative every month.:(

It is important to do what SoapLady is asking, because although having 7 PDL's is not fun in the slightest, the situation may not be as dire as you think.
I say that because if you have paid back $1000 on a $500 illegal loan for example, you may be owed a refund! It has happened to several members of the community and it could happen to you.
