I would file complaints against them with the FTC and your states AG. Next time they call tell them that you know they have 5 days from first contact to send you something in writing and that you will not speak with them until you receive it in the mail. If they actually have the nerve to send you something then send a debt validation letter to them.

If a collection agency has threatened you regarding a pdl you don't owe, then you should report the matter to FTC. The collection agencies are not allowed to threaten consumers as per the FDCPA laws.
