Anyone have any recent results with ARSI? I havent found anything (very little) on them and settlements.

Have a large bal (20k+) with a Costco Amex card go to them after 120 days.

Thanks in advance.

ARSI provides collection services to its clients. A lot of people have dealt with ARSI and shared their experiences in the forum. Check out the following links to know about them:

If the account has been assigned to ARSI, then it is better to settle the debt asap. If the account has not yet been assigned to them, then contact Amex and negotiate an alternative repayment plan.

Hello,

I just reviewed our American Express/ARSI accounts to see what is likely to occur with your account.

It appears that ARSI hasn't been given the authority needed to negotiate a decent settlement for Amex accounts. If you are unable to secure a settlement agreement with ARSI it's highly likely that your account will end up with a law firm, as this has been the pattern for these accounts for the past several months. If this occurs you will be able to negotiate a settlement with whatever law firm your account ends up with. Probably not 30%, but likely less than 50%.

Please keep in mind that while this has been the pattern for several months, creditors often change their guidelines and policies also. So, while this scenario is highly likely, they may surprise you by changing tactics.

Best of luck to you!
