Any good settlement company is going to do its best to ensure that you will settle out of court. We always recommend that our clients file an answer to avoid a default judgment, and we also instruct them how to do so. I'm assuming that your settlement company will do the same for you. Give your representative a call and ask them how they would like you to proceed.
Also, this will give the settlement company a "heads up" to let them know that this account needs to take precedence over all others at this time (if funds are limited)l.
