So NCO has started calling now. I've seen a few references to them in the forums but the search feature won't let me search for just "NCO". Are they for Capital One or others? I'm down to Capital One, BOA and one Citi. We had 2 Capital One and just settled one of them but they said the other one was not eligible for settlement. ?? Curious what kind of attitude/process I can expect from NCO.

I too am dealing with NCO but with an amex acct -- just got sent there after 60 days late -- I would say thats a little early, but all companies have different policies -- and amex I guess has them "collect" for them --

I haven't called yet, but I will let you know how it goes --

from what I hear they collect for amex, capital one, not sure about discover, but most of main companies --

how late where you on cap one? they said no settlement with me either -- i was at 160 days with them --

The "other one" was not eligible for a settlement, based on timing. Capital One and Discover are very similar with their settlement procedures, and if you don't pull the trigger at exactly the right moment, the account won't be eligible for a settlement.

Don't get yourself worked up over this; your account will be eligible for settlement shortly. When you do this on your own, you end up playing guessing games, which leads to worry. Don't worry - you will get this account settled.
