Hi: I recently received a car loan from Wells Fargo and have successfully set up my account and received a letter confirming the loan. Today, I get an email from that looks real and says there is a problem with my account and to click on a link and give them an ID number they referenced in the email.

I am not going to answer it, do others believe this is a scam of some sort?

call wells fargo,then report this

i got a similar email as well.the only problem is i never had any account with wells fargo in my life.do as SOAPLADY advised.then when it's confirmed that this is a phishing email report it immediately.

I guess there's a dept. that handles such scam attempts. If the mail addresses a genuine problem it can be easily tracked down. Get in touch with them without wasting much of your valuable time.

When in Doubt, Don't Click!

When in doubt don't click. Otherwise, you could be in danger of having a virus planted on your computer. I would suggest looking up the right authority within the Wells Fargo company and find out how much truth there is to this claim.
