so what do I do now about the payday loan that I can not seem to get handled?? DO I contact the person listed above and ask them what to do? I just want this resolved and over. Thank you for all the help!!

since pdl's are prohibited in MD,and you mentioned hushawk specifically two pieces of info are important.

1)how much was borrowed from the lender.
2)how much was debited by the lender.

you see being as the loans are illegal you only owe the principle,and anything debited gets deducted from that.btw my philosophy is if a place threatens arrest they get reported and ignored not paid as threatening arrest is against the law period.try to find out the info above.you might be very suprised by how little if anything you do owe.just don't give in to bottomfeeders that threaten illegaly.

I agree with Paul I had a collection agency harrass me and I googled information on them sometimes they use a spoof card and that is a clear sign that they are illegal. Who is the original lender?

I only barrowed $ 300 from them and I paid in $180. I donot know how to get the money to them and get away from all of this mess?? I have a consult into a lawyer maybe they can help me. I am scared I am going to be taken away to jail.

Well the orginal lender from the paper work is huskhawk group ltd But I can not find an address on them. When I call them I get the run around about my account being sent to collections and all I get is an email. They will not supply me with a number saying that they do not have one. All I want to do is clear my debt and be done with them. I am changing my phone number tomorrow to stop the harrasing phone calls from all the other scammer out there. I am sick to my stomach and scared. I do not want to go to jail or anything I want to do the right thing. Thank you to every one who has replied you are a true blessing.

Have you tried googling information on the company? Maybe even doing a whitepages reverse look up on the phone number. Do the company have a website if so look up their infiormation. I am going to try to google the name you put here and if i see anything I will post it for you!

Remember these are scare tactics and you can not go to jail for something that is illegal in the first place! Don't get stressed out I was the same way whne I found this forum and I must say the people here walked me through things and I am now payday loan free! I get harrassig calls and emails from time to time but its ok I have all my paycheck!

OK Piglet99 here is the info I looked them up from other posters on this site. If you ever want to know something a search box will be in the right side of your screen and usually there is information posted about alot of PDL companies.

They are not even located in the United States so they are trying to scam you.

Thank you for your response about contacting that place. I will do that first thing in the morning. I have been so scared and I just want to be done with the whole mess. I understand that I barrowed the money and have to repay it and that is what I have been trying to do. Thank you again for all your responses and help. Hopefully I can sleep tonight without the fear of someone coming to get me the next day to take me to jail. I want to start off by saying hello and Good Morning. I called the maryland commision of finacial regulations and spoke to a very nice lady who is helping resolve this matter. She also stated that because this group decided to work in a state where it is illegeal to have pay day loans. She said that the contract is null and void and I will not have to repay the money barrowed. I have to fax her all the information she required and all the information that I have on these people. In the mean I am changing my home phone number in order to stop the harrassing phone calls and also closing my accounts. I want to thank all of you that have helped me through all my questions and anxiety over all of this. I may have to appear in court against these people but it will be worth every minute of it. Thank you again and I will keep you updated on the situation as it progresses.
